About Me

I am a mother of 5, Grammy of 5 and great-Grammy of 5. I’ve loved reading and writing fiction all my life. One of my favorite memories is reading the Nancy Drew books to my first granddaughter while she sat curled on my lap.
I started writing seriously in my 20’s and sold my first story to Teen Magazine when I was 26. I wrote while raising my five children and working as secretary for my husband’s sprinkler and landscape business. I won numerous awards for my short stories, poetry, and unpublished books.
I quit writing when life became too complicated, but during that time I lived a rich life full of ups and downs, family drama, travel adventures with my husband, and experienced the surrealness of losing my home in a house fire.
After my husband died I returned to my writing and was able to produce my debut novel which came out in February 2025 titled, The Secret of Surviving In The Sea. I have continued to write other books for which I am seeking an agent and/or a publisher. I love the writer’s life, attending book fairs, book signings and readings, promoting my book.
